The Chutes de la Madeleine is a broad, low waterfall on the Plaine des Lacs, set in a small reserve of maquis shrubland full of plants found only in New Caledonia. A short botanical trail and boardwalk explain the unusual flora that thrives on the iron-rich soil.
It pairs perfectly with Rivière Bleue or a drive to Prony and Yaté. A small entry fee applies and opening days vary.
