Îlot Canard (Duck Island) sits just off Anse Vata. A marked underwater trail takes snorkellers over coral gardens, and there's a small beach restaurant. Îlot Maître, a little further out, is home to a resort with overwater bungalows and is a kitesurfing hotspot.
Water taxis leave from the Anse Vata beach throughout the day; buy a return ticket and agree on a pick-up time. Bring sunscreen and shade, as the sun is intense.
